For children and teenagers, and the parents behind them
The skills school leaves out, and a clear direction forward.
Tutoring, coaching and hands-on programmes in science, entrepreneurship and AI, designed by people who studied at EPFL and ETH Zurich and work with startups every day.
Why parents come to us
We asked parents what worries them most. The answers fell into three groups, and each of our programmes is built around one of them.
School is getting harder
Gaps in maths or science, homework that takes all evening, and no study method that actually works.
Motivation is hard to find
Screens win most evenings. Interests are vague, and confidence drops when nothing feels worth the effort.
The future feels unclear
AI is changing careers faster than school can adapt. Choosing studies and a path feels like guessing.

Who we are
Tailwind is an independent project built by a team working in venture capital, startups and research, with backgrounds at EPFL and ETH Zurich and a network that reaches Harvard and Cambridge.
We have done this before. Our first project, Tactic Academy, helped EPFL students prepare for exams with tutors who had passed the same courses. Tailwind brings that experience to younger students, earlier, when the right habits and the right direction make the biggest difference.
We teach what we use in our own work: how to learn hard subjects, how to test an idea, and how to build with AI rather than be replaced by it.

Questions parents ask
What ages do you work with?
Mostly students aged 10 to 18. Each programme page shows the age range it is designed for. If your child is younger or older, ask in the consultation.
Are sessions online or in person?
Sessions run live online with an instructor, so families can join from anywhere. We add in-person groups in cities where enough families are interested.
Which languages do you teach in?
English, French and Russian. Tell us your preference when you reserve.
How does payment work?
When you reserve a place, we confirm the dates by email and send payment details. Nothing is charged on this website, and your place is held for 48 hours while you decide.
Prices are in CHF. We do not live in Switzerland.
No problem. We can quote in EUR or USD at a close equivalent. Mention it in your request.
Who are the tutors and instructors?
Students and graduates of leading science and engineering universities, plus professionals from startups and investing for the entrepreneurship programmes. We match each student with someone suited to their subject and level.
What if the programme is not a good fit?
Tell us after the first session. For monthly programmes you can stop at the end of any month. For fixed programmes we will find a fair solution with you.
